Editorial support with clear boundaries and author control

Research can be difficult to evaluate when objectives, methods, results and conclusions do not align clearly on the page. Journal selection adds another problem: indexing claims change, similarly named journals can be confused, and a journal's own website is not independent evidence of its status.

MedPub Assist addresses those practical tasks. Depending on the agreed scope, we edit language and structure, review statistical reporting, check a manuscript against an appropriate reporting guideline, verify journal records in source databases, prepare submission files and help authors organise responses to peer review.

Who is responsible for the work

The researchers named on a manuscript remain responsible for the study design, ethics approval, source data, interpretation, authorship, disclosures and final submitted text. Editorial assistance does not transfer that responsibility. Substantive scientific questions are returned to the authors, and every deliverable is provided for author review and approval.

A project quote identifies the service requested, expected files, turnaround and the role of the assigned reviewer. We do not claim that editing certifies scientific validity, regulatory eligibility or journal acceptance.

How a project is handled

1. Scope: we review the submitted material and state what can be delivered, what needs clarification and what is outside scope.
2. Documented revision: manuscript edits are returned with tracked changes or clearly identified recommendations.
3. Author review: authors accept, reject or amend each substantive recommendation and answer unresolved scientific questions.
4. Final preparation: after author approval, files can be formatted for the selected journal and checked against its current instructions.

What we will not do

We do not fabricate or alter data, invent studies, sell authorship, conceal assistance, submit to knowingly deceptive journals or guarantee acceptance. Details and the complaint route are published in our publication ethics policy.
